Cops: 5 Residential Burglaries in 10 Hours

Police are asking residents to report any suspicious vehicles after a recent rash of home burglaries.

In less than 10 hours, five homes were robbed in Skokie.

The robberies happened between 12 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday. Forced entry was used in each of the burglaries, police said. Law enforcement officials said the burglaries may be related but are investigating before declaring their conclusion.

Jewelry, computers and an HDTV were among the items stolen, ABC Chicago reported. Police are asking residents to report any suspicious vehicles or persons near residential homes.

The burglaries happened in the following streets -

  • 4100 block of Greenwood Avenue
  • 5300 block of Carol Street
  • 8800 block of Kenton Avenue
  • 9500 block of Lawndale Avenue
  • 9200 block of Ridgeway Avenue
