Cops: Skokie Woman Bit Off Lover’s Tongue on Valentine’s Day

A Skokie woman was charged with aggravated domestic battery and was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bail on Sunday, the Huffington Post reports.

Elaine Cook, 51, of Skokie, was charged with aggravated domestic battery after she bit off a chunk of her boyfriend’s tongue on Valentine’s Day, the Huffington Post reports.

Cook and her boyfriend of 10 months got into an argument during the ‘red’ holiday and asked her boyfriend to leave her home. However, before the man left he leaned in for a kiss to say goodbye. That’s when Cook bit off a portion of her boyfriend’s tongue, the publication reported.

The man would later place his tongue in a bag of ice in hopes of having it reattached. He was ultimately treated at Evanston Hospital, but doctors were unable to reattach the man’s tongue, according to the Huffington Post.
