Four People In Custody After Shots Fired in Neighboring Evanston

Police took four people into custody for investigation after someone fired a gun at Dempster Street and Fowler Avenue around 7 p.m. Saturday evening, according to police.

Four people were taken into custody after someone fired a gun in neighboring Evanston Saturday evening, according to police.

Cmdr. Jason Parrott said officers responded to a call of shots fired at Dempster Street and Fowler Avenue around 7 p.m., where they found a spent shell casing. Parrott said a gun was fired but no one was shot.

Police brought four people into custody for futher investigation by detectives in connection with the incident, according to Parrott. No charges had been filed as of Saturday afternoon, he said.
