Four Skokie Burglaries Result in Stolen Jewelry, Electronics

An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.


The following information is from the Skokie Police Department and Village of Skokie.

  • Burglary on the 4900 block of Greenwood Street, on January 21st between 6:45 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.  Reported:  01/21/2014. An unknown person(s) forced open a door into a basement apartment and stole a necklace and a laptop.
  • Burglary on the 3400 block of Crain Street, on January 22nd at 10:27 a.m.  Reported:  01/22/2014. An unknown person(s) forced open the front door to the apartment.  It is unknown at this time what was stolen.
  • Burglary on the 4900 block of Crain Street, on January 22nd between 11:30 a.m. and 2:01 p.m.  Reported:  01/22/2014. An unknown person(s) used a pry tool to gain entry through the front door.  Stolen was a laptop computer.
  • Burglary on the 4900 block of Crain Streeton January 22nd between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.  Reported:  01/22/2014. An unknown person(s) used a pry tool to gain entry to the front door.  Stolen was an Xbox 360, a shirt and coins.
