Theft from auto

A car parked in the 9500 block of Lorel Avenue was reported burglarized on June 24. According to the report, the man’s front license plate was reported stolen.

A car parked in the 9500 block of Lorel Avenue was reported burglarized on June 24. According to the report, the man’s front license plate was reported missing.

Deceptive practice

A woman came into the Skokie police station to report a deceptive practice on June 26. According to the report, an unknown person made several unauthorized transactions using her credit card number.

A man reported receiving a bill for $284 under ‘Bill Me Later’ services on June 25. The man said he never authorized the charges, the report said.

Theft

A man allegedly stole his girlfriend’s wallet after arguing with her near Gross Point Road and Church Street on June 27. Officers were able to track down the alleged suspect who had the items in his possession, the report said. The woman told police she did not want to press charges.

Teammate theft

A teen that plays for Niles North High School football reported his iPhone stolen after he finished practice on June 29. He said he used a GPS app to track his phone down and believes one of his teammates is now in possession of it.
