Theft at pool
A woman reported her purse stolen while visiting Oakton Pool, 4600 Oakton St., on Aug. 12. The purse was valued at around $90, the report said.

Police responded to a suspicious noise complaint in an alley behind the 8800 block of Forestview Road on Aug. 14. When police arrived, they found burnt paper and an aerosol can in the middle of the alley. No arrests were made.
Stolen bike

An unsecured bicycle was reported stolen outside Oakton Pool on Aug. 16. The bike was valued at around $56.
Stolen wallet leads to fraudulent expenses
A woman who left her wallet behind at a Panera Bread in Chicago reported that $2,000 was missing from her account on Aug. 16.
Theft from auto
A car parked in the 8500 block of Monticello Avenue was reported burglarized on Aug. 4.
