Friday Blotter: An Egging and a Bogus Check

Vehicle vandalized
A car parked in the 4600 block of Old Orchard Road was reported vandalized on April 19. According to the report, an unknown person scratched the side of a vehicle with a sharp object.
Side mirror stolen

Police responded to a theft from auto in the 8100 block of Kilbourn Avenue on April 12. According to the report, an unknown person(s) removed a side mirror from a Lincoln Navigator. The theft was estimated to cost the owner about $100, the report said.
Currency Exchange cashes bogus check

Police responded to a deceptive practice complaint at Currency Exchange, 4924 Dempster St., on March 26. According to the report, the business cashed a check for $1,543 that was later deemed fraudulent.
Tire and rim stolen
A man that parked his car in the 5000 block of Dobson Street reported his spare tire and rim stolen on April 23. The combined value of said items is around $350, the report, said.
Egging
A home in the 8700 block of Monticello Avenue was egged on April 9.
