Checkbooks stolen in car theft

A car parked in the 4600 block of Oakton Street was reported burglarized on Oct. 22. According to the report, the driver’s side window was smashed open and a checkbook was stolen.

Bar Louie employee gets drunk, attempts battery

A Bar Louie employee was found on the bathroom floor sleeping after drinking numerous beers on Oct. 27 around 2 a.m. When the manager attempted to wake the employee up, the man became aggressive and attempted to attack his manager, the report stated.

The manager told police that about 100 beer bottles were missing from the restaurant. No arrests were made and the manager did not receive any injuries.

Smeared feces

Police responded to a disorderly conduct complaint in the 5400 block of Main Street on Oct. 23. According to the repot, a man’s vehicle had dog feces smeared all over the driver’s side window.

Stolen bike

A bike valued at $300 was reported stolen outside the Skokie Swift Station in the 5000 block of Dempster Street on Sept. 5.

Another man reported his bike stolen outside the Skokie Swift, but on Oct. 26. The bike was valued at around $150.

Stolen bench

A wooden bench was stolen outside a home in the 4900 block of Morse Street on Oct. 28. The bench was valued at around $200.
