Friday Blotter: 'But I Don't Wanna!'

“But I don’t wanna!”

Police were dispatched to the 8500 block of Kimball Avenue regarding a domestic dispute on Sept. 20. According to the report, a father was having a hard time convincing his son, 13, that he had to go to school. After police spoke to the teen he realized that “going to school was the best idea.” No charges were filed.

A $2 lottery ticket was stolen from a car parked in the 3700 block of Davis Street on Sept. 24.

Stolen purse

A woman shopping at Marshall’s, 9445 Skokie Blvd., reported her purse stolen on Sept. 29. According to the report, the woman hung the purse on a clothing rack to try on an outfit, when she returned, however, her purse was missing.

Theft from auto

A car parked outside Old Orchard Aquarium, 9235 Skokie Blvd., was reported burglarized on Sept. 28. According to the report, an iPod and smartphone were removed from the car.

Speaker system stolen

Two Alpine brand speakers, valued at $199 a piece, and a subwoofer were taken from a car parked in the 9300 block of Kedvale Avenue on Sept. 20.
