Friday Blotter: Dine and Ditch

DUI
Ungay Kelly, 44, of Evanston, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 19. Kelly was stopped in the 8700 block of McCormick Boulevard for a traffic violation. While Kelly refused to take a Breathalyzer test, he was still charged with DUI. His court date is Sept. 12.
Stolen iPhone

Stolen documents

A woman reported several documents stolen from her garden apartment in the 8800 block of Lamon Avenue on Aug. 23.
Deceptive practice
A man reported that an unknown person applied for a $4,000 credit under his information on Aug. 23.
Dine and ditch
Police responded to a theft of services complaint at Buffalo Wild Wings, 7020 Carpenter Road, on Aug. 23. According to the report, four men ditched their $29 bill.
Graffiti
Police responded to Madison School, 5050 Madison St., regarding a criminal damage complaint on Aug. 24. According to the report, red spray paint was used to write the letters, “XRO” on the side of the building.
Theft from auto
A GPS device was reported stolen from a car parked in the 10000 block of Frontage Road on Aug. 23.
