Friday Blotter: Gone in 30 Seconds

Battery at the gas station

Police responded to a battery complaint at Citgo, 9410 McCrormick Blvd., on Dec. 16. According to the report, a customer struck an employee in the face after she was charged $15 for $13.81 of gas. The alleged offender denied striking the employee. No charges were filed.

Police responded to a theft at Weber Leisure Center, 9300 Weber Place, on Dec. 16. According to the report, an Omega Seamaster watch was reported stolen from a locked locker. The watch was valued at around $1,000.

Hospital equipment stolen

Five HDTVs with a combined value of $2,000 were reported stolen from Skokie Hospital, 9600 Gross Point Road, on Dec. 16.

Gone in 30 seconds

A customer shopping at Macy’s in Old Orchard Mall reported his Apple iPhone stolen on Dec. 16. According to the report, the man left his phone on the counter unattended for 30 seconds. When he returned, he noticed his phone missing.
