Handicap vehicle stolen
A business in the 5000 block of Dempster Street reported a customer’s handicap accessible minivan was stolen on March 10. The staff told police that the keys were left in the ignition so that the customer could pick up his vehicle in the morning.
Bicycle stolen

A boy’s bicycle was stolen from the basement of an apartment in the 8400 block of Monticello Avenue on March 12. According to the report, entry to the basement was locked, and though several other bikes were also in the area, the victim’s bike that was the newest was taken.
Random vandalism

A car parked in the 5200 block of Touhy Avenue had all of its windows smashed out on March 13. According to the report, the victim has no idea why anyone would do this to her.
License plate stolen
A van parked in the 9100 block of Keating Street had its license plates removed on March 10.
DUI
Ashley Bourbon, 23, of the 6700 block of Dowagiac Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on March 4 around 11:50 p.m. According to the report, Bourbon was stopped for a traffic violation after her vehicle exited the Village Crossing shopping center in Skokie. She told officers that she had a few glasses of wine. However, her blood alcohol content level was recorded at .215. Her court date is March 23.
