Friday Blotter: Hanging Purse, Stolen Plates

Hanging purse

A woman reported her wallet stolen after dinning at Corner Bakery, 5369 Touhy Ave., on Nov. 19. The woman’s purse was hanging on the back of her chair. Later that day, the victim realized that her credit cards were used at Nordstrom in Old Orchard Mall.

Stolen plates

A man reported his car plates stolen on Nov. 19. His car was parked in the 8300 block of Lockwood Avenue.

Locker theft

A jacket, $50 in cash, wallet and several credit cards were reported stolen from a gym locker at LA Fitness, 3220 Touhy Ave., on Nov. 14.

Stolen car seats

Two car seats with a combined value of $330 were stolen from an apartment complex in the 8000 block of Kenton Avenue on Nov. 21.

Vehicle vandalism

A car parked in the 4800 block of Hull Street was vandalized on Nov. 20. According o the report, the front passenger side window was shattered. No items were reported missing, though.

Laptop stolen in home burglary

A laptop was reported stolen from a home in the 8100 block of Lincoln Avenue on Nov. 20.
