Stolen package

A man reported a package stolen from outside his home in the 4400 block of Madison Avenue on Nov. 28.

Burglary

More than $5,000 in jewelry and $5,000 in cash was stolen from a home in the 9700 block of Woods Drive on Nov. 28. The homeowner believes a newly hired cleaning company may be responsible for the theft, the report said.

Deceptive practice

A man reported a deceptive practice at the Skokie police station on Nov. 27. According to the report, a person obtained the man’s information and opened a Macy’s account without his knowledge.

Stolen laptop

A woman reported her Apple laptop stolen while dinning at the Cheesecake Factory in Old Orchard Mall on Nov. 29.

Stolen workout gear

A gym bag, workout belt and wallet were reported stolen from a locker at LA Fitness, 3220 Touhy Ave., on Nov. 30.

Identity theft

A man came into the Skokie police station to report an identity theft on Dec. 1. According to the report, an unknown person opened a Comcast account under his name and racked an $896.11 bill, the report said.
