Friday Blotter: Police Find Kilo of Blow

Police find a Kilo of cocaine
After clearing a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Church Street, police found a kilo of cocaine wrapped in a clear bag and brown wrapping tape. The substance would later test positive at the lab. Officers are unsure who the drug belongs to or where it came from.

A 19-year-old Chicago man was charged with possession of marijuana on Dec. 23. According to the report, the suspect was stopped in the 5000 block of Dempster Street for a traffic violation around 2 a.m. Police would later find half a gram of pot in his vehicle.

A man came into the police station to file a criminal damage complaint on Dec. 21. According to the report, an unknown person scratched his Mercedes Benz, causing about $5,000 worth of damage.
