Unauthorized credit cards

A woman came into the Skokie police station to report an identity theft incident on Aug. 11. According to the report, credit card accounts at Sears and Walmart were open without her authority. The card was already used at Walmart.

Jeep symbol stolen

Police responded to the 4900 block of Mulford Avenue regarding a theft from a motor vehicle on Aug. 11. According to the report, a Jeep symbol was stolen from an SUV parked on Mulford Avenue.

Police responded to a criminal damage call at Schack Park, 6940 Laramie Ave., on Aug. 12. According to the report, a black marked was used to write several vulgar words on a fence.

Arson makes a stink

Police were dispatched to Central Park on Aug. 12 regarding an arson compliant. According to the report, a Port-o-Potty was set on fire. 

The damage apparently occurred after a burning roll of toilet paper was thrown onto a vent above the unit. The loss was put at $2,000.

Police are investigating.
