Theft at Niles West parking lot

A construction worker working at Niles West High School reported more than $4,000 worth of tools missing from his vehicle on April 7.

Stolen iPad

A man reported that someone stole his iPad 2 while he was dinning at Chuck E. Cheese in Village Crossing with his daughter on April 2. The victim told police that he left his iPad 2 unattended prior to the theft.

It’s never the dry cleaners fault

Police responded to a theft of services complaint at Drive Cleaning, 4837 Oakton St., on April 2. According to the report, a customer picked up her clothes and found several stains on her clothing. Upset, the customer took her clothes and did not pay the $52 bill, the report said. No charges were filed.

Theft at Devnonshire School

Police responded to a theft at Devonshire School, 9040 Kostner Ave., on April 2. According to the report, two brass caps were removed from the school’s sprinkler system.

Social media disaster

Police responded to a battery complaint at Chuck E. Cheese in Village Crossing on March 31. According to the report, a woman became upset at her step-cousin after he posted a rude message about her via Twitter. She then allegedly spit on the man’s jacket and left the store. No charges were filed.
