Friday Blotter: Stolen Radars

Stolen radar

A radar detector valued at $300 was reported stolen from a car parked in the 8700 block of Keeler Avenue on Dec. 10. According to the report, a blunt object was used to smash open the driver’s side window.

A GPS device and radar detector with a combined value of $500 were reported stolen from a car parked in the 10000 block of Frontage Road on Dec. 10. According to the report, the suspect(s) broke the driver’s side window to gain access inside the vehicle.

Electronic yard device stolen

An electronic device designed to scare rodents and other small animals was reported stolen on Dec. 9. The device was placed in a backyard in the 9300 block of Lawler Avenue. It was valued at around $30

Locker room theft

A Nokia brand cell phone valued at $200 was stolen from a gym locker at , 3220 Touhy Ave., on Dec. 7. The victim told police his locker was locked

Downspout stolen

A resident in the 8100 block of Floral Avenue reported that an unknown person(s) stole his copper downspout from the side of his home on Dec. 6. According to the report, the item will cost around $2,800 to replace
