Police responded to a theft at Skokie Public Storage, 8220 Skokie Blvd., on Sept. 1. According to the report, a storage unit was burglarized and about $4,000 of items were stolen.
Disorderly conduct

Police responded to a disorderly conduct complaint at Oakton Pool, 4655 Oakton St., on Aug. 31. According to the report, a man was banned for using shorts that are not allowed at the pool. No arrests were made.
Graffiti
Police responded to a criminal damage complaint in the 4800 block of Main Street on Sept. 6. According to the report, purple spray paint was used on the west side of a building.

Police responded to the 8300 block of Kostner Avenue regarding a graffiti complaint on Sept. 10. According to the report, purple spray paint was used to write on a Village of Skokie garbage can.
Teen victim of battery
A 13-year-old boy was the victim of a battery while visiting the Skokie Public Library on Sept. 9. The mother of the boy said a kid from school has been bullying him for several years. No charges were filed.
Threatening text messages
A 44-year-old woman filed a disorderly conduct complaint on Aug. 27. According to the report, someone known to the victim sent several threatening text messages to her cell phone. No charges were filed.
