Friday Blotter: Woman Loses $5K Wedding Band

Burglary
A home in the 8600 block of Keeler Avenue was reported burglarized on Jan. 17. According to the report, the victims came home to an open door and noticed muddy footprints scattered throughout their home. A Toshiba flat screen valued at around $500 was stolen. There were no other items reported missing.
Stolen wedding ring

A woman reported that an unknown person removed her wedding band from her home in the 5300 block of Lamon Avenue on Jan. 18. The ring was valued at around $5,000. The victim added that a cable service provider was recently in her home to install cable, the report said.
Stolen package

A woman reported that an unknown person removed her FedEx package outside her home in the 4600 block of Madison Avenue on Jan. 19.
Woman alleges theft at nursing home
A woman reported that someone took her grandmother’s wedding band, gold necklace, Virgin Mary Pendant and ring from her apartment in Cambridge Nursing Home, 9615 Knox Ave., on Nov. 23. The combined value of said items is $3,800, the report said.
