Gang Graffiti Found in Vacant Apartment

Battery complaint

A man that was upset with his government related benefits grabbed and pushed an employee at the Illinois Department of Human Services, 8020 St Louis Ave., on April 1. The offender fled the scene before police arrived.

Homeowner reports rocks stolen

A homeowner in the 4200 block of Lee Street reported 10 medium-sized landscaping rocks stolen from her front yard on April 1. The estimated loss was around $200, the report stated.

Stolen cell phone

A man reported his smartphone stolen after watching a movie at AMC Showplace Theaters in Village Crossing on April 1.

Vacant apartment vandalized

Police located gang graffiti at a vacant apartment in the 8100 block of Keating Avenue on April 1. The offender(s) spray-painted the stairwells, according to police.

Vehicle vandalism

A man reported that an unknown person(s) damaged his driver’s side mirror of his vehicle parked in the 5100 block of Brown Street on March 27.

DUI

Bridger Hamann, 19, of Evanston, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Hamann had a blood alcohol content level of .135, the report stated.
