Glenview Woman Dies After Car Accident in Skokie

A 75-year-old Glenview woman died after a car accident near the intersection of Dempster Street and Skokie Boulevard on Saturday around 9:30 a.m.

A Glenview woman was killed after a two car crash in Skokie on Saturday, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Maya Rekhtman, 75, of Glenview, died after her vehicle made contact with another car near the intersection of Skokie Boulevard and Dempster Street around 9:30 a.m. She was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston where she was pronounced dead, according to the Tribune.

Rekhtman was driving southbound on Skokie Boulevard when she made contact with another vehicle as she turned left onto Dempster Street. Police said both drivers had a green light prior to the crash, the Tribune said.
