Greet Your Police Officers In The Park, Monday-Wednesday

As part of National Night Out, Skokie police officers will be visiting various parks around town to meet you, answer questions. Here's the schedule, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Police departments across the country usually hold a National Night Out in August, in which they meet with residents in a relaxed setting to chat about policing.

The Skokie Police Department is visiting various parks around town over three nights, Aug. 5, 6 and 7. They'll distribute crime prevention information and give out promotional stuff to children.

According to the village, this program works in conjunction with the Skokie Police Department’s Know Your Officer program.

On Wednesday, Aug. 7, the Skokie Police Department will present its Volunteer of the Year award during the Wednesdays on the Green event, in front of the Skokie Library on Oakton Street.
