Jewelry, iPad Taken in Home Break-In

A woman tried to buy two Gucci watches with a fraudulent credit card, police said. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.


In a residential Burglary on the 8500 block of Niles Center Road around noon July 18, an unknown offender pushed in the air conditioner on the ground floor apartment and entered the residence. Once inside, an Apple iPad and jewelry were removed.

Criminal damage to property cases 

Three wall sconces were damaged at the Lieberman Center, 9700 Gross Point Road, between July 10th at 5:00 p.m.and July 11th at 8:30 a.m.

An unknown offender shattered the front storm door glass on a residence in the 9400 block of Lawler Avenue, between 12:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. July 18.

At the Cole Taylor Bank, 4400 Oakton Street, between 5:00 p.m. and July 18, an unknown offender used a rock to smash the rear window on the victim's gray, 1996 Dodge Caravan.

Deceptive Practices
At Helzberg Diamonds, in Old Orchard Center, at 4:00 p.m. July 18, a store employee reported that a female black offender, heavyset, in her twenties, wearing a pink top, and carrying a Louis Vuitton purse, attempted to buy two Gucci watches using a fraudulent Discover credit card, according to police reports.

Arrests

Henry Villanueva, 23, of Skokie, was charged with possession of cannabis, on the 9400 block of Long Avenue.

Zico Jean, 31, of Skokie was charged with driving on a Suspended/Revoked Driver's License, on the 4700 block of Dempster Street.
