Man Charged With Breaking Into Skokie Police Parking Lot
Also, a hotel guest said someone broke into his room and stole items. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.
The following information about recent activity was provided by the Skokie Police Department.
Arrests
- Kang, Tae, C., 30, of the 4800 block of Hull, charged with Criminal Trespass to State Supported Land at 7300 Niles Center Rd., on 09/01/2013. Kang was arrested after he scaled the fence and was found walking around in the secured parking area of the Skokie Police Department.
- Martinez-Vala, Bulmaro, 33, of Arthur Avenue, Chicago, arrested on charges of Driving with No License on the 9300 block of Skokie Boulevard, on 09/01/2013.
- Ramirez, Steve, 42, 5000 block of West Byron Street, Chicago, arrested on charges of Driving on a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 5000 block of Dempster Street, on 09/01/2013.
Theft
- Theft at 9333 Skokie Boulevard, The Roadhouse Inn, on August 31st between 9:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. Reported 09/01/2013. Victim reported that an unknown person(s) entered his hotel room and stole various items.
- Theft on the 9600 block of Woods Drive, between August 15th at 12:00 a.m. and September 1st at 12:00 a.m. Reported on 09/01/2013. An unknown person(s) removed a men’s custom 25” bicycle from the common area of the garage.
- Theft at 5369 Touhy, Corner Bakery, on September 2nd between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. Reported 09/02/2013. Victim reported that an unknown person removed her wallet from inside her purse that was hanging over the back of her chair.
Burglary

- Burglary on the 8800 block of Knox Avenue, between August 30th at 5:00 p.m. and September 1st at 4:00 p.m. Reported 09/02/2013. An unknown person(s) entered the unlocked garage and removed a green TREK mountain bike.
Burglary from Motor Vehicle
- Burglary from Motor Vehicle on the 9700 block of Kedvale Avenue, between August 31st at 2:00 p.m. and September 1st at 10:30 a.m. Reported 09/01/2013. An unknown person(s) broke into a Toyota Odyssey while it was parked on the driveway. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.
- Burglary from Motor Vehicle on the 5200 block of Brown Street, on September 1st between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Reported 09/02/2013. An unknown person(s) stole a purse from the front seat of an unlocked 2000 Buick while it was parked in the driveway.
