Man Steals Vodka, Punches Store Owner

A man stole two bottles of vodka from the Dollar House & Liquor, 4616 Oakton St., at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, according to police. When the owner confronted him, the man punched the owner in the face, police said.

Justin C. McClure, 18, of the 4900 block of Conrad St., in Skokie, 18, was arrested and charged with robbery in the 4800 block of Lee St. that same day.

Teen Batters Officer at Police Department

While in custody for criminal trespassing at the Skokie Police Department, a teenager committed a battery to a police officer and resisted arrest at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, police reported.

Suspicious Men Offer Candy to Teens

Three male teenagers were approached by four or five men in a gray Cadillac SRX or SUV and offered candy at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, in the 8100 block of Kolmar Avenue, according to police. When the teens refused, the men drove off.

Arrests: Cannabis Possession, Driving Without a License

Fabian Flores-Ruiz 32, of the 1600 block of West Chase in Chicago was arrested and charged with driving without a license in the 4800 block of Dobson St. on Monday, May 27, police reported.

Mark A. Allegretti, 19, of the 2200 block of Wesley in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis in the 4900 block of Oakton Street on Tuesday, May 28, according to police.

Retail Theft

A teenager took five Nike items and tried to leave Macy’s without paying for them at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, according to police. Loss prevention agents for Macy’s stopped the teenager.

A man put a pair of women’s shoes in a bag, then put three pairs of men’s sunglasses in his coat pocket and tried to leave TJ Maxx, 3337 Golf Rd., without paying for the items at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, according to police. Loss prevention agents stopped the man.
