Three masked men held a 15-year-old boy at gunpoint during a home invasion in the 200 block of Hartrey Avenue Tuesday, according to police.
The teen was at home when he thought he heard familiar voices at the back of the house sometime around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Evanston Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott. Then he heard a knock on the door and opened it, believing it was someone he knew.
Instead, there were three masked men, one of whom pointed a black and chrome gun at the boy, Parrott said. They ordered the teen to lie on the ground, then took him into another room and told him to stay there.
The teen said he heard the men walking around, and after several minutes, came out hiding when he believed they were gone, according to Parrott. He noticed that his Playstation 3 was stolen, and contacted a friend about the home invasion, who then notified police. The 15-year-old boy was not hurt, according to Parrott.
Police are still investigating the incident, and have made no arrests.
