Minivan Stolen Out of Residential Driveway

The following information is from the Skokie Police Department and Village of Skokie

Motor Vehicle Theft 

• Motor Vehicle Theft on the 4200 block of Grant Street, on November 2nd at 10:39 a.m. Reported: 11/02/2013 An unknown person(s) stole a maroon Toyota Sienna minivan from the driveway. 

• Disorderly Conduct on the 9300 block of Skokie Boulevard, on November 2nd between 12:50 p.m. and 7:25p.m. Reported: 11/02/2013 An unknown person(s) spit on the driver’s side door handle of a Mercedes while it was parked unoccupied in a parking lot.

• Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories on the 8000 block of Keating Avenue, between October 31st at 11:30 p.m. and November 1st at 8:45 a.m. Reported: 11/01/2013 An unknown person(s) stole the front plate off a Nissan Rogue.  

• Criminal Defacement of Property on the 8100 block of Kenton Avenue, between October 31st at 4:00 p.m. and November 1st at 2:00 p.m. Reported: 11/01/2013 An unknown person(s) spray painted the word “LOCOZ” on a garage door. 

• Criminal Defacement of Property on the 8000 block of Knox Avenue, on November 2nd between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. Reported: 11/02/2013 An unknown person(s) used black spray paint to write “LOCOZ” and an upside down three prong pitchfork on a garage door.

• Criminal Defacement of Property on the 8000 block of Lincoln Avenue, on November 2nd between 9:15 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. Reported: 11/02/2013 An unknown person(s) used green spray paint to write “RPG,” “NATION,” “SL,” “BTM,” and “CHC” on the first level of the parking structure. Three bicycles were recovered at the scene.  

• Theft on the 8900 block of Lavergne Avenue, between October 31st at 4:15 p.m. and November 1st at 10:30 a.m. Reported: 11/01/2013 An unknown person(s) removed a cup filled with $25.00-$30.00 in quarters from the kitchen counter. 
• Theft at 3450 Touhy, XSport, between October 30th at 8:00 p.m. and October 31st at 7:00 p.m. Reported: 11/01/2013 An unknown person(s) stole $1,300.00 from the victim’s wallet while the wallet was inside an unlocked locker at XSport. 
• Theft at 4999 Old Orchard Road, Starbucks Café, on October 2nd between 2:30 and 4:00 p.m. Reported: 11/02/2013 An unknown person(s) stole the victim’s wallet from her coat pocket. 
• Theft on the 7400 block of Lincoln Avenue, between October 31st at 12:00 p.m. and November 2nd at 3:15 p.m. Reported: 11/02/2013 An unknown person(s) stole packages that had been delivered to the lobby area of the building. 
• Theft at 4999 Old Orchard Road, Power Yoga, on November 1st between 5:30 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. Reported: 11/03/2013 An unknown person(s) stole a cell phone from inside a gym bag. 
• Theft on the 8500 block of East Prairie Road, between November 1st at 7:31 p.m. and November 3rd at 7:31 p.m. Reported: 11/03/2013 An unknown person(s) stole a 20 foot aluminum ladder from the victim’s back yard.
