Monday Blotter: Domestic Battery

Domestic battery
Lorenzo Dillard, 18, of Skokie, was charged with domestic battery on Jan. 27. Dillard attacked a woman known to him and broke her cell phone, the report stated. The incident occurred in the 9100 block of Niles Center. The offender denied the allegations, but police were able to see visible marks on the victim, the report stated. His court date is Feb. 4.
Home burglary

A laptop computer was stolen from a home in the 8900 block of Lavergne Avenue on Jan. 29. According to the report, brute force was used to gain entry into the home.
Garage burglary

A backpack and duffel bag were reported stolen from a garage in Skokie on Jan. 30. The report did not indicate where the incident occurred.
Stolen change
About $10 in change and a black tote bag was reported stolen from a car parked in the 8800 block of Central Park on Jan. 30. The offender(s) used a blunt object to smash out the driver's side window and gain entry, police said.
Stolen cashmere sweater
A cashmere sweater was reported stolen from a car parked in the 8500 block of Kedvale Avenue on Jan. 30.
Stolen wheels
Police responded to a theft at Martin Nissan, 5240 Golf Road, on Jan. 28. According to police, two wheels were removed from a 2012 Nissan sedan.
Stolen wallet
A woman reported her wallet stolen after shopping at Best Buy, 5425 Touhy Ave., on Jan. 30. There was also a $150 in cash inside the wallet, the report stated.
Stolen iPad
A woman reported her iPad stolen after visisting the Douglas Center Group Home, 3445 Howard St., on Jan. 30.
