Monday Blotter: $7K Lawnmower Stolen

$7,000 lawnmower stolen

Police responded to a theft in the 3400 block of Howard Street on July 2. According to the report, an unknown person(s) broke into a cargo trailer and removed a $7,000 lawnmower.

Anne Kennedy, 52, of the 900 block of Austin Avenue in Evanston, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on June 30. She was stopped for a traffic violation in the 3300 block of Dempster Street. She allegedly had a blood alcohol content level of .169.

Home burglary

Police responded to a burglary in the 8900 block of Lincolnwood Drive on July 2. According to the report, cash, jewelry and an Apple laptop were stolen.

Poolside burglary

Police responded to Oakton Pool, 4600 Oakton St., regarding a theft on July 2. According to the report, a woman reported her $300 iPhone missing. She told police she left it in her bag while in the locker area.

Laptop stolen from vehicle

A car parked in the 4700 block of Oakton Street was reported burglarized on July 3. According to the report, a laptop computer, $300 in cash and a driver’s license were reported stolen.
