Monday Blotter: Boy Scout Battery

Deceptive practice

A woman reported that an unknown person purchased a vehicle in her name without her permission from Sherman Dodge, 7601 Skokie Blvd., on Aug. 28.

Tools stolen

Police responded to a burglary in the 8000 block of Kolmar Avenue on Aug. 7. According to the report, several power tools were missing from the home. The report also added that brute force was used to gain entry.

Car vandalized

A car parked in the 4100 block of Main Street was reported vandalized on Aug. 28. According to the report, several scratches were made on the vehicle’s exterior.

Boy Scout argument results in alleged battery

Police responded to a battery complaint outside Jack’s Restaurant, 5201 Touhy Ave., on Aug. 29. According to the report, several Boy Scout leaders got into a “heated” argument inside the restaurant. The argument escalated and the party was asked to leave the business.

While outside, one of the members allegedly slapped a cell phone out of the hands of another leader. No charges were filed.

Stolen purse

A woman reported her purse stolen while shopping at TJ Maxx, 3337 Golf Road, on Aug. 28.
