Monday Blotter: Bullying Incident

The following arrest information was supplied by the Skokie Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. At Skokie Patch, we update our blotter daily.

Bullying incident

An 11-year-old girl attacked another 11-year-old while the offender’s cousin videotaped the incident on Jan. 15. According to the report, the two girls used to be friends, but no longer are. The attacker also posted negative comments about the victim via social media, the report stated.

According to the report, the girl was pushed and punched in the left ear. The incident is now being investigated.

Deceptive practice

A woman reported that an unknown person withdrew about $180 from her ATM account without her knowledge on Jan. 15.

Apartment burglary

An apartment in the 8100 block of Kilpatrick Avenue was burglarized on Jan. 15. According to the report, about $1,200 of jewelry was missing from the unit.

Stolen smokes

About six packs of cigarettes were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 5100 block of Birchwood on Jan. 13. According to the report, a pry tool was used to gain access inside the vehicle.

Stolen copper

A home owner in the 8200 block of Kostner Avenue reported that 40 feet of copper and various tools were stolen from his house on Jan. 23. According to police, brute force was used to gain entry through a rear door.

Juvenile charged with breaking into vehicles

A juvenile female was charged with breaking into several vehicles in the 4800 block of Crain Street on Jan. 23.

Nordstrom theft

A male teen was charged with retail theft after he attempted to steal a North Face jacket from Nordstrom in Old Orchard Mall on Jan. 21.

Stolen pistol

A man reported his Beretta Px4 brand pistol stolen from his nightstand from his home in the 9600 block of Karlov Avenue on Jan. 23. No other items were reported missing from the home, the report stated.

Stolen auto

A car parked in the 4900 block of Hull Avenue was reported stolen on Jan. 23. The victim told police that he was in possession of all of the vehicle's keys, police said.
