Mother son dispute

A woman came into the Skokie police station to report a dispute regarding her son on Jan. 16. According to the report, the victim’s son was harassing by consistently calling her telephone. The mother had more than 40 harassing messages on her cell phone from her son, the report said.  No charges were filed, but the woman is seeking an order of protection from her son.

Dine and ditch at Buffalo Wild Wings

Police responded to a theft of services at Buffalo Wild Wings in Village Crossing on Jan. 16. According to the report, a male and female couple ditched their $44 bill. However, the suspects had dined at the restaurant before, and the manager was able to pull their credit card and name via computer.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Cedric J. Lewis, 21, of the 11000 bock of Harvard Avenue in Chicago, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on Jan. 19. According to the report, Lewis was stopped for a traffic violation near Dempster Street and Crawford Avenue. Police said they later found a metal grinder used for breaking up marijuana under the suspect’s seat. Marijuana residue was found inside the grinder, the report said.

Another stolen gate

A man in the 5000 block of Wright Terrace reported that his metal chain link gate was stolen from his backyard on Jan. 18. There have been several fences and downspouts stolen in recent weeks. The man valued his gate at around $100, according to the report.
