Monday Blotter: Dude, You Don't Have a Dell

The following arrest information was supplied by the Skokie Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. At Skokie Patch, we update our blotter daily.

Employee Break Room Broken Into
A Charlotte Russe employee at reported her purse stolen on Nov. 16. She said an unknown offender entered the employee room and unlocked her locker to remove the item. The offender used the victim’s BP Mobile gift card and used her credit card for purchases at a nearby Walmart. A surveillance tape revealed that a black female had walked into the break room and removed the item, according to the police report.

$38K Stolen to Purchase Boat
A resident in the 8200 block of Elmwood Avenue reported that two fraudulent accounts were made in his name between Sept. 23 and Nov. 15. One of the accounts was used to obtain a Citizens Bank Loan of $38,455 to purchase a boat, while the other had a $2,638 Bloomingdales credit line. The accounts were opened using an Illinois Driver’s license that had the Skokie man’s previous address from Buffalo Grove listed. The photograph on the license, however, was an unknown white man, according to the report.

Dude, You Don’t Have A Dell
A home in the 8300 block of Kilpatrick Street was burglarized on Nov. 14. A flat screen TV, Dell laptop and Sony Play Station were reported stolen. The unknown offender(s) forced the rear door of the residence to gain entry inside.

Busted with Mary Jane

A 20-year-old Skokie man was busted with less than 2 grams of cannabis on Nov. 13. According to the report, police stopped the suspect’s vehicle during a routine traffic stop and smelled the drug.

Shopping spree

A woman came into the Skokie police station to report a deceptive practice on Nov. 12. According to the report, the victim’s purse was stolen and more than $3,700 was charged to her credit card account.

Vehicle vandalism

A car parked in the 8500 block of Avers Avenue was reported vandalized on Nov. 17. According to the report, the rear window was smashed out. No items were reported missing.
