Monday Blotter: Identity Theft

Theft from auto

A car parked in the 8300 block of Tripp Avenue was reported burglarized on March 27. It is unknown at this time if anything was stolen, police said.

License plates stolen

A man reported that both of his license plates were stolen from his vehicle parked in the 8600 block of Crawford Avenue on March 25.

Hotel theft

Police responded to a theft at Hampton Inn, 5201 Old Orchard Road, on March 26. According to the report, several pieces of clothing, electronics and personal belongings were missing.

Pot possession

Kaelah Rose-Victoria Smith, 19, of Skokie, was charged with possession of marijuana on March 27. Smith was arrested in the 5200 block of Old Orchard Road, police said.

Identity theft

A woman reported that an unknown person made numerous purchases using her credit card number without her permission on March 26.
