Monday Blotter: Man Attacked at Gas Station

Bomb threat

Police responded to a bomb threat at Illinois Human Services Facility, 8020 St. Louis Ave., on May 14. Upon reaching the building, however, police were unable to locate any bomb or legitimate threat, the report said.

Three males attacked a Skokie man during an altercation at Marathon gas station, 8001 Skokie Blvd., on May 10. According to the report, the victim saw an acquaintance of his and the two reached out to shake hands. However, one of the alleged suspects quickly pulled away his hand and struck the victim in the nose. The attacker's friends allegedly joined the attack, the report said, and would later flee the scene.

When police interviewed the victim, he declined to cooperate with officers, the report said.

Theft from auto

A car parked in the 9800 block of Karlov Avenue was reported burglarized on May 7. According to the report, the suspect rummaged through the vehicle but took nothing.

Theft

Police responded to a theft in the 8900 block of Bronx Avenue on May 4. According to the report, a man reported $140 missing from his drawer. He is unsure who may have taken the money, the report said.

Theft from auto

A car parked in the 5000 block of Main Street was reported burglarized on May 12. According to the report, an unknown person removed the victim’s rear license plate.
