Monday Blotter: 'Off with His Head!"

Arrested After Night Out
A woman driving northbound on McCormick Boulevard was stopped for speeding 22 MPH over the limit at 4:40 a.m. on April 16. Further investigation revealed she allegedly had a blood alcohol level of .165. The woman said she was heading home to Niles from a bar in Chicago.

Alleged Old Navy Thieves Busted
Two women, one of them a juvenile, were arrested and charged with misdemeanor theft on April 15 following an incident at Old Navy. Old Navy security discovered the women had two shirts and sandals valued at $55.97 and several other pieces of clothing valued at $35.35 that were unpaid for in their possession. The duo allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for the items.

Copper Spouts Snatched
Four copper down spouts were reported stolen from a home in the 5200 block of Brown Street on April 14.

Hubs Delivery Turned Ugly
The manager of Hubs reported on April 14 that a disgruntled customer made a threatening call because he was upset over his order. Police spoke with the customer who said he was upset because his steak wasn't cooked to his liking. Both parties agreed not to do business with each other in the future. 

"Off With His Head"
A man reported that he was assaulted by another man following a car crash in the 4900 block of Old Orchard Road on April 14. The men had been arguing after the incident, when one of them threatened to "cut his head off." No charges were filed.
