Monday Blotter: Prize Scam, Cars on Suffield Terrace Ransacked and More

Fit Smashed
A light blue Honda Fit parked int he 8500 block of Harding Street had its front passenger window smashed in between May 26 at 3 p.m. and May 27 at 11:30 a.m. Nothing was taken.
Unwelcomed Paint Job
An unknown suspect damaged a 2000 Dodge Neon with blue spray paint parked in the 9100 block of Keating between May 25 at 9:30 p.m. and May 26 at 11 a.m.
Prize Scam Turns into Harassment
A Skokie resident staying with her parents in California reported being harassed on the phone on May 26. The woman said an unknown caller had been contacting her four to five times a week regarding prizes she and her parents have won. The caller requested money to be sent in exchange for the prizes. When asked for his name and company, the caller became angered, saying "Miss I know where you live and I can easily take you out."

Ransacked Glove Compartments
An unknown offender entered an unlocked 1995 GMC Suburban parked in the 5300 block of Suffield Terrace between May 25 at 6:30 p.m. and May 26 at 10 a.m. While the glovebox was opened and items thrown around, nothing was reported missing.

An unlocked 2009 Toyota Prius was entered between May 25 at 6 p.m. and May 26 at 11 a.m. in the 5300 block of Suffield Terrace. The glove compartment was checked for valuables, but nothing was reported missing.
