Grab-n-go at Bloomies

A man allegedly grabbed two leather jackets from Bloomingdales in Old Orchard Mall and ran out the store on March 31. According to the report, the alleged suspect got into a car with the driver already waiting.

Theft from auto

A car parked in the 9700 block of Gross Point Road was reported burglarized on March 31. According to the report, a blunt object was used to smash out the driver’s side window. Once inside, the culprit removed a purse containing several credit cards and about $20 in cash.

Robbery

A woman was robbed near Greenwood and Bronx avenues on April 1. According to the report, the offender ran up behind her and grabbed her purse. The victim, however, wouldn’t let go and was struck down as a result from resisting. The culprit was described as a black man, in his 20s, skinny build and about 5-foot-10.

Internal theft

Marcella Fournier, 22, of the 7000 block of Oleander Avenue in Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft on April 1. Fournier allegedly took two Apple Macbooks from her employer, Best Buy Old Orchard, without paying, the report said. After being confronted by police, Fournier said she was just holding onto the items for a customer. She would later admit to police that she took the electronics so she could resell them for cash, according to the report. The combined value of said items was almost $3,400.
