Monday Blotter: 'Scent' of a Thief

'Scent' of a Thief

Police responded to Ulta, 9635 Skokie Blvd., on Nov. 13. According to the report, a customer grabbed several perfume bottles and fled the store. The combined value of said items was more than $450, the report stated.

Identity theft

A woman came into the Skokie police station to report that she’s been a victim of an identity theft on Nov. 13. According to the report, an unknown person obtained her information and opened several accounts using her name.

Burglary

A home in the 8100 block of Kenton Avenue was reported burglarized on Nov. 13. According to the report, a watch and about $100 was missing.

Police responded to a burglary in the 7800 block of Kostner Avenue on Nov. 13. According to the report, a coin collection was missing from the home. It is unclear how much the collection was worth.

Missing purse

A woman reported her purse missing after riding the Oakton Yellow Line on Nov. 13. She also added that her iPad was inside her purse, the report stated.
