Monday Blotter: Thieves Steal from St. Lambert

Gutter stolen from St. Lambert Parish

Police responded to a theft at St. Lambert Parish in the 8100 block of Karlov Avenue on Jan. 26. According to the report, a 7-foot copper downspout was stolen from the southeast side of the building. There has been an increase in metal related thefts as of late.

Vehicle burglarized

A car parked in the 8900 block of Samoset Avenue was reported burglarized on Dec. 22. According to the report, the vehicle was rummaged through, but no items were reported missing.

A car parked in the 3900 block of Kirk Avenue was reported vandalized on Dec. 25. According to the report, a blunt object was used to smash out the driver’s side window. No items were reported missing and it does not appear that the suspect attempted to make entry, the report said.

A car parked outside Skokie Village Hall was vandalized on Dec. 27. According to the report, all four tires were punctured.

Burglary

A woman reported that her movers’ stole a gold necklace valued at around $2,000 from her apartment. According to the report, police contacted the moving company, but the manager said that his employees did not take any items from the victim’s apartment. No charges were filed.
