Monday Blotter: Tractor Reported Stolen

Vehicle vandalism

A car parked in the 8200 block of Springfield Avenue was reported damaged on March 24. According to the report, a blunt object was used to smash out the driver’s side window. No items were reported missing.

A car parked in the 9500 block of Gross Point Road was reported burglarized on March 24. A GPS device valued at about $100 was taken from the vehicle, the report said.

Tractor stolen

A Volvo brand tractor that has 10 tires was reported stolen on March 25. According to the report, the vehicle was last seen parked in the 7400 block of Hamlin Avenue.

Scrappers caught

Adan Velazquez Gomez, 43, and Jose Esquivel, 32, both of Chicago, were charged with criminal trespass on March 23. Police found the duo loading metal scrap from a construction site in the 3600 block of Touhy Avenue without the site’s consent. A worker witnessed the incident and reported it to police, the report said.
