Niles North Student Attacked by Peers

Student attacked by peers

A female student at Niles North High School was attacked in a hallway as she walked toward class on May 16. The teen was punched and kicked by several other female students, police said. All offenders were apprehended by school security. No further details were provided.

Theft from auto

A wallet and credit card were reported stolen from a car parked in the 8500 block of Skokie Boulevard on May 16.

Several coins, sunglasses, CDs and jumper cables were removed from a car parked in the 8800 block of Lincolnwood Drive on May 16.

Stolen vehicle sticker

A woman reported that an unknown person removed her license plate sticker from her vehicle parked in the 9000 block of Bennett Avenue on May 15.

Possession of marijuana

George Terrence Johnson, 34, of Waukegan, was charged with possession of cannabis on May 16. Johnson was stopped after police witnessed him smoking marijuana in his vehicle in the 8200 block of Keating Avenue, the report stated.
