Police Investigate Possible Stabbing In Winnetka

Two people were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries that may have been caused by a knife after a fight erupted in the 1400 block of Scott Avenue, according to police.

Two people were taken to the hospital with possible knife wounds after a fight in Winnetka Thursday night, police said. 

Winnetka Police responded to a 9-11 call about an altercation in the 1400 block of Scott Avenue around 7:13 p.m., where they found one person with a chest injury and another with a hand injury, according to a press release from the police department. 

Both people were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries that “may have involved the use of a knife,” according to police.

Winnetka police are in the process of interviewing several people who are related to the incident, police said.

“At this time, it appears to be an isolated incident with no remaining threat to the community,” the press release said.

According to ABC 7 News, neighbors on the scene said the two people were stabbed.
