Police Nab Teen Suspected of Firing Shots At Skokie Intersection

They have charged the juvenile for firing shots at another car in Skokie Boulevard and Niles Center Road intersection on Aug. 13. Chicago police assisted.


Skokie police have arrested a suspect who fired shots at the busy intersection of Skokie Boulevard and Niles Center Road during the evening rush hour last Tuesday, Aug, 13, they said in a statement.

Chicago police, acting on an alert from Skokie police, took a male juvenile from Chicago into custody Saturday, and turned him over to Skokie police for further investigation, Skokie police said.

The juvenile has been charged with one count of reckless conduct, and has been referred to juvenile court.

The original incident occurred at 5:42 p.m. on Aug. 13. Skokie police responded to a 911 call, determined someone fired multiple shots at a passing car containing people he knew, and began investigating.
