Police Pursue Vehicle Suspected in Homicide

Police pursued a car on Saturday that fit the description of one involved in a homicide, according to Skokie police officials, and Evanston police officers picked up a passenger.

Police followed a car into Skokie Saturday that matched the description of one involved in a homicide, according to Skokie police officials.

The driver bailed, Skokie police said, but Evanston police picked up the passenger.

Skokie police officers helped to canvass the area for the driver, according to Skokie police officials, but did not assist in a chase.

Reached via e-mail Sunday afternoon, a spokesperson for the Evanston police department said only that the agency had “no information on it at this time.”

Patch will update this story if and when further details become available.

Why are we so critical? I understood perfectly well as to what the article conveyed. The write-up may have been short, but informative nonetheless.

So are the police finally admitting that Evanston is overrun with gangs? I remember reading them saying we didn't have a gang problem.....Like 3 or 4 murders ago. And a gun buy back offer for $100...Like trade in a couple of 20 dollar Saturday night specials, And get enough cash to buy a nice 9 mm ?

JC didn't say Evanston didn't have a gang problem, he said he read where Evanston was saying they didn't have a gang problem. I know there was a time that Evanston paid Northwestern $10,000 to conduct a study on whether they, Evanston, had a gang problem.
