Porsche Coupe and Harley Davidson Stolen

The following information was taken from Skokie Police Department reports and the village of Skokie.

Forgery

• Forgery on the 3400 block of Oakton Street, on June 24th at 3:00 p.m.  Reported:  09/30/2013. An unknown person forged a signature on a document.

Credit Card Fraud

• Credit Card Fraud on the 4700 block of Dempster Street, on September 29th between 3:00 p.m. and 6:40 p.m.  Reported:  09/30/2013. An unknown person(s) obtained the victims credit card and made unauthorized ATM withdrawals.

Battery

• Battery at 4937 Old Orchard Road, Nordstrom’s, on September 29th between 1:10 and 1:49 p.m.  Reported:  09/30/2013. Two female black subjects selected merchandise from Nordstrom’s and left the store without paying.  One subject pushed the loss prevention agent while trying to flee the store.  The subjects were seen entering a black Mazda SUV and traveling S/B on LeClaire toward Golf Road.

Deceptive Practices

• Deceptive Practices on the 3400 block of Main Street, between September 27th at 12:50 p.m. and September 30th at 12:50 p.m.  Reported:  09/30/2013. The victim cashed a counterfeit check he received in the mail.

Motor Vehicle Theft

• Motor Vehicle Theft on the 8100 block of Kilpatrick Avenue, on September 27th at 12:27 p.m.  Reported:  09/30/2013. An unknown person(s) stole the victim’s Porsche Coupe.

Criminal Damage to Property

• Criminal Damage to Property on the 8000 block of Tripp Avenue, between September 28th at 3:00 p.m. and September 29th at 2:00 p.m.  Reported:  10/01/2013. An unknown person(s) threw eggs at a Jeep that was parked in the alleyway.

• Criminal Damage to Property on the 4000 block of Enfield Avenue, between September 28th at 8:00 p.m. and September 29th at 7:00 a.m.  Reported:  09/29/2013. An unknown person(s) damaged a concrete statue on the front lawn.

• Criminal Damage to Property on the 8400 block of Christiana Avenue, on September 29th between 6:30 p.m. and 7:08 p.m.  Reported:  09/29/2013. A resident reported that his former neighbor had cut down a tree on his property.

• Criminal Damage to Property on the 8800 block of Bronx Avenue, on September 29th between 3:30 p.m. and 10:55 p.m.  Reported:  09/29/2013. An unknown person(s) smashed a window on the property.

Criminal Defacement of Property

• Criminal Defacement of Property on the 4900 block of Dempster Street, on September 30th at 5:41 p.m.  Reported:  09/30/2013. An unknown person(s) used a black marker to write “ICOPS” on the Village of Skokie Economic Development Sign.

Burglary

• Burglary on the 8300 block of Kildare Avenue, on September 28th between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.  Reported:  09/30/2013. An unknown person(s) stole a bicycle from an open garage.

• Burglary on the 5100 block of Suffield Court, between September 30th at 9:00 p.m. and October 1st at 4:00 a.m.  Reported:  10/01/2013. An unknown person(s) stole a black 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle from the unlocked garage.

• Burglary on the 8700 block of Monticello Avenue between September 23rd at 3:00 p.m. snd September 24th and 3:00 p.m.  Reported:  09/29/2013. An unknown person(s) entered the unlocked garage and removed a men’s Trek bicycle.

• Burglary on the 4400 block of Concord Lane, on September 29th between 4:45 p.m. and 9:32 p.m.  Reported:  09/29/2013. An unknown person(s) used force on the front door to enter the residence.  Jewelry was stolen from the home. 

Theft

• Theft on the 8000 block of Kilpatrick Avenue, on October 1st at 6:01 p.m.  Reported:  10/01/2013. Two unknown male black subjects attempted to cut off the lock on two bicycles that were locked to a post in the alleyway.  The subjects were scared off by the building manager.  One subject was wearing a black tee shirt and jeans with a hole in the knee and the other was wearing a blue shirt with a white stripe across the chest.

• Theft on the 8200 block of Lincoln Avenue, between August 11th at 11:30 p.m. and September 13th at 2:24 p.m.  Reported:  09/29/2013. An unknown person(s) stole a cart containing detergent and water bottles from the lobby.

Identity Theft

• Identity Theft on the 5000 block of Main Street, between September 22nd at 8:00 a.m. and September 28th at 12:30 p.m.  Reported:  09/30/2013. An unknown person(s) stole the victim’s credit card number and used it to make purchases.

Retail Theft

• Retail Theft at 9150 Skokie Boulevard, Walgreens, on September 29th at 7:30 p.m. Reported:  09/29/2013. A male subject walked into the store and began drinking bottled water without paying for the items.  No complaints were signed.

Assault 

• Assault on the 8200 block of Lincoln Avenue, on September 29th at 9:24 p.m.  Reported:  09/29/2013. A road rage incident resulted in an assault when a bicyclist kicked a vehicle occupied by two people after that vehicle almost struck him. 

Arrests

• Williams, Levertis, C., 20, 1400 block of  Grey Avenue, Evanston, was arrested on charges of Burglary on the 1400 block of Grey, Evanston on 09/30/2013.

• Jones, Lorenze, T., 18, 1400 block of Fowler, Evanston, was arrested on charges of Burglary in Willow Brook on 09/30/2013.

• Juvenile, 11, Skokie, was arrested for theft at 7300 Niles Center Road, on 09/30/2013.

• Juvenile, 12, Skokie, was arrested for theft at 7300 Niles Center Road, on 09/30/2013.

• Owens, Rashanda, 29, 8400 block of Christina Avenue, was arrested for driving on a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 3600 block of Main Street, on 10/01/2013.

• Jenkins, Darrel E., 61, 7000 block of Ridge Avenue, Chicago, was arrested on charges of Driving on a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 9100 block of McCormick Boulevard, on 10/01/2013.

• Figueroa, Stephanie, E., 23, 5500 block of Parker, Chicago, was arrested on charges of Retail Theft at 7300 Niles Center Road, on 10/01/2013.

• Martinez, Abel, 31, 2300 block of W. Jarvis, Chicago, was arrested on charges of Driving while Under the Influence of Alcohol on the 3300 block of Touhy on 10/01/2013.

• Lee, Henry, 50, 5200 block of Jarvis Avenue, was arrested for Reckless Conduct on the 7400 block of Niles Center Road, on 09/29/2013.

• Fowler, Michelle A., 22, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence on the 5700 block of Oakton Street, on 09/29/2013.
