Report a DUI Labor Day Weekend, Earn $100

Tips that lead to a Labor Day weekend arrest will earn $100 rewards.

Skokie residents can earn cash this weekend by reporting possible drunk drivers.

If you observe a car being driven erratically, swerving across lane dividers or over the shoulder and nearly colliding with other vehicles, call the Skokie Police Department at (847)-982-5900. Helpful details include reporting on the vehicles behavior, its description, direction of travel and license plate number. Dispatch can then notify police officers to be on the lookout for the reported vehicles.

If your call leads to a DUI arrest, The Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists will send you $100. Since 1990 the organization’s Drunkbusters program has resulted in 4,450 DUI arrests and paid out more than $445,000. It runs all year in DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will counties, but is in place throughout Illinois for Labor Day weekend.
