Robber Puts Nylon Stockings Over Face, Attempts Robbery

A man wearing nylon stockings over his face attempted to rob a victim in the 4200 block of Oakton Street in Skokie recently.

A man wearing skin colored nylons over his face attempted to rob a victim in broad daylight on a busy street on April 17 around 3 p.m.

He was unsuccessful.

According to police, the offender approached the man in the 4200 block of Oakton Street and said, "Give me what you got." The victim said "No" and fled the scene.

Meanwhile, the offender himself would also flee, and headed southbound on Tripp Avenue  from Oakton Street, police said.

Nothing was taken from the victim.
