Robbers Take $300 At Gunpoint From Gas Station In Skokie

Also, thefts were reported at Macy's and Nordstrom. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.


The following information is from Skokie police and the Village of Skokie

Armed Robbery

  • Armed Robbery at the Shell gas station, 9600 Crawford Avenue, on October 21st at 8:00 p.m. Reported: 10/21/13. The complainant reported that two suspects entered the Shell gas station displaying a black semi-automatic handgun and demanding the attendant open the register.  The offenders removed approximately $300 from the cash register.  The offenders were described as two male black offenders.  One offender was dark skinned, 6’1” – 6’2”, athletic build, and wearing all dark clothing.  The second offender was 5’8”- 5’9”, average build, and wearing dark clothing.

Retail Theft

  • Retail Theft at CVS Pharmacy,  3434 Dempster Street, on October 21st, at 2:11 p.m.  Reported: 10/21/13. The complainant reported witnessing two subjects enter the store and remove two bottles of vodka and then exiting the store.  The offenders were described as a male black 20-25 years of age, short black hair and a goatee, wearing a black jacket, red shirt, blue jeans and dark shoes.  The second offender was described as a male black between 20-25 years of age, short black hair, wearing a Chicago Blackhawks jacket and a red, white, and black stocking hat.
  • Retail Theft at Macy’s Department Store, 4909 Old Orchard Center, on October 22nd at 2:11 p.m.  Reported: 10/22/13. Macy’s security apprehended two juvenile offenders for retail theft.
  • Retail Theft at Nordstrom’s Department Store, 4937 Old Orchard Center, on October 22nd at 7:21 p.m.  Reported: 10/22/13. The offender was arrested for returning merchandise and receiving credit for items that were not present during the returns.

Burglary from a Motor Vehicle

  • Burglary from a Motor Vehicle on the 3900 block of Enfield Avenue, between October 17th at 10:00 p.m. and October 18th at 7:30 a.m.  Reported: 10/23/13. The victim reported that an unknown offender entered the unlocked silver/green, 2006 Honda Odyssey, which was parked in the driveway.  Once inside, a Taylor GS mini guitar was removed.

  • Wolfe, Jessenia, 2500 block of Victor Avenue, Glenview, 41, arrested on charges of Retail Theft, 4937 Old Orchard Road, Skokie, on 10/23/2013.
  • Benjamin, Neal, 7500 block of Winchester Avenue, Chicago, 25, arrested on charges of Theft, 7300 Lawndale Avenue, Skokie, on 10/23/2013.
  • Clark, Norris, 7300 block of Winchester Avenue, Chicago, 38, arrested on charges of Theft, 7300 Lawndale Avenue, Skokie, on 10/23/2013.
  • Several juvenile arrests for Retail Theft at 4909 Old Orchard Road, Skokie, on 10/21/2013.
